Alec Baldwin has said he won’t run for mayor of New York in 2013, but he apparently still has political aspirations.
“I do want to run for office one day,” the actor told CNN’s Piers Morgan in an interview that aired Wednesday, “but what it would be, and when and how, is still something I’m trying to think very seriously about.”
Baldwin had two reasons for putting off his decision: He likes the work he’s doing now and doesn’t think the timing is right.
“There’s so many different things that happen in the political world over the course of two years that, in that amount of time, maybe the-not-too distant future I’ll survey that again and think about, is there an opportunity for me?” he said. (Politico/McDevitt)
