George Clooney, already enjoying the premiere of his film “Ides of March” at Venice Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival, has taken his political drama to Beverley Hills, Los Angeles. While giving some insights into the film, of which Clooney also happens to be the co-writer and director, he said that the film has global appeal since people from across the world could relate to it finding its plot somehow related to the politics in their country.
While giving an interview to Parada magazine, Clooney said, “Everywhere it’s played, they think it’s got something to do with their politics. When I had to pitch this movie, I would say, ‘OK, here’s why it’s universal and not just an American film about delegate counts.’ I pitched the idea of a morality tale.”
